まことに、主の啓示を否定し、主はもはや啓示や予言、賜物、異言、癒し、聖霊の力によって業を行われることはないと言う者は、災いである。またその日、利益を得るために、イエス・キリストのよって行われる奇跡などないと言う者は、災いである。第三ニーファイ２９:６−７

Yea, wo unto him that shall deny the revelations of the Lord, and that shall say the Lord no longer worketh by revelation, or by prophecy, or by gifts, or by tongues, or by healing, or by the power of the Holy Ghost!  Yea, and wo unto him that shall say at that day, to get gain, that there can be no miracle wrought by Jesus Christ.  3 Nephi 29:6-7

In the last two chapters of 3rd Nephi, Mormon adds his prophecies about the coming forth of the Book of Mormon in the last days.  He gives a stern warning to those who disbelieve in the work of the Lord.  He testifies that the work of the Lord will go forward and that all the prophecies will be fulfilled.

第3ニーファイの最後の2章で、モルモンは末日にモルモン書が出現する予言を書き加えています。彼は主の業を信じない人々に厳しい警告を与えています。主の業が前進し、すべての預言が成就すると証しています。

In verses 6 and 7 of the 29th chapter of 3rd Nephi, Mormon gives a warning to those who claim that there are no revelations or miracles any more.  This is particularly wise counsel for our own day.  

モルモンは第3ニーファイ第29章の6、7節で、啓示や奇跡はもうないと主張する人々に警告を与えています。これは今日の私たちにも特に賢明な勧告です。

The claim that God no longer works by miracles has been a well-used trick of Satan throughout the ages.  Satan tries to convince people that miracles have ceased and that there is no more revelation.  He does this to blind the eyes and darken the minds of the people.  

神が奇跡を行われなくなったという主張は、古くからサタンがよく使ってきた罠です。サタンは人々に奇跡が止まり、それ以上の啓示がないことを信じさせようとします。彼はそうすることで、人々を盲目にし、心を暗くしています。

In the scriptures, we are taught that God is “the same, yesterday, today, and forever”.  Whenever there is enough faith among the people, revelation comes.  Miracles happen.  Lives are blessed.

聖文では、神は「昨日も今日もとこしえに変わらない」と教えられています。人々の間に十分な信仰があるときはいつでも啓示がありますし、奇跡も起こります。人生が祝福されます。

We are taught in the Book of Mormon that, if miracles have ceased, it is because the people have become wicked.  It is because the people do not keep the commandments.  It is because there is not sufficient faith.  

私たちは、奇跡が止まった訳をモルモン書でこのように教えられています。それは人々が邪悪になったからであり、人々が戒めを守らず、信仰が足りないからです。

It is not because God does not love his children.  It is not because God no longer has the power to perform miracles.  It is not because God has changed.

それは神が神の子供たちを愛していないからではありません。神に奇跡を起こす力がなくなったからではありません。神が変わったからでもありません。

Beginning with that spring day in 1820, when the Father and Son appeared to the boy prophet, the heavens have again been opened.  Revelation began to flow again.  Revelation flows to the Lord’s chosen prophets and apostles this very day. 

1820年のその春の日から始まり、天父と御子が少年預言者に現れたとき、天は再び開かれました。啓示が再び途絶えることなく与えられようになりました。今日、主の選ばれた預言者と使徒たちに啓示が絶えず与えられます。

Miracles happen in our day.  Was it not a miracle that the “Come, Follow Me” program was introduced to the Church?  When the “Come, Follow Me” program was first announced, we were still able to attend Church each week.  It seemed like a nice program, but not a miracle.

奇跡は今も起こります。 教会に「わたしに従ってきなさい」のプログラムが導入されたのは奇跡ではありませんか？ 「わたしに従ってきなさい」のプログラムが最初に発表されたとき、私たちはまだ毎週教会に出席していました。素晴らしいプログラムだと思っていましたが奇跡だとは思いませんでした。

Then, only a short time later, the COVID pandemic swept the world.  We are not able to go to Church.  We are not able to meet together to be taught.  We are not able to attend our Sunday School classes.

その少し後に、コロナによるパンデミックが世界を襲いました。私たちは教会に行けなくなり、共に集まって学ぶ機会が持てなくなりました。日曜学校のクラスにも参加できなくなりました。

When the pandemic hit, the miracle of the “Come, Follow Me” program was very clear.  The Lord prepared that program so we would be able to study the gospel even during the time when we could not meet together.  Great blessings have come to those who diligently study the “Come, Follow Me” lessons.  It has been a great blessing in the lives of many people.

パンデミックが発生したとき、「わたしに従ってきなさい」のプログラムの奇跡は非常に明らかでした。共に会うことができない時でも福音を学ぶことができるように、主がそのプログラムを用意してくださいました。「わたしに従ってきなさい」のレッスンを熱心に研究する人には、大きな祝福がもたらされました。それは多くの人々の生活の中で大きな祝福となりました。

This is just one small example of how the Lord guides and directs his work.  Miracles and revelation are a key part of the restoration of the gospel.  Miracles happen every day.  Revelation happens every day.  

これは主がどのように主の業を導き、指示されるのかについてのほんの一例です。奇跡と啓示は福音の回復の重要な部分です。奇跡は毎日起こります。啓示は毎日起こります。

As we go through this next week, let’s remember that miracles do happen, but they only happen through faith.  Let’s remember that revelation can come to each one of us, as we ponder and pray about our own situation and needs.  Let’s remember that the Lord is in control and that everything is in his hands.

新しい週が始まります。奇跡は実際に起こりますが、それは信仰を通してのみ起こることを忘れないでください。自分自身の状況や必要について熟考し、祈るとき、啓示が私たち一人一人にもたらされることを心にとめていましょう。主が主導権を握っておられ、すべてが主の御手の中にあることを忘れないようにしましょう。
