わたしを主よ、主よ、と呼びながら、なぜわたしの言うことを行わないのか。ルカ６：４６
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things I say? Luke 6:46
In the sixth chapter of Luke, the Savior teaches the people many things. The messages of this chapter are often referred to as the “sermon on the mount”. The things the Savior taught were very simple things. These messages included wise counsel such as: love your enemies, judge not, be merciful, bring forth good fruit, and so on.
ルカによる福音書６章では救い主は多くの事を教えておられます。この章の教えはよく「山上の垂訓」とも言われていますが、その教えはとても簡単なものでした。それらの教えには賢明な勧告、例えば：汝の敵を愛せよ、裁くなかれ、あわれみ深くありなさい、よい行いをしなさい、等が含まれています。
Toward the end of his message, the Savior asks a very important question, “and why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things I say?”.
章の最後の方で救い主はとても大切な質問をされています。「わたしを主よ、主よ、と呼びながら、なぜわたしの言うことを行わないのか？」と。
That is a very important question. It is the most basic question about our faith. It is a question that each of us needs to ask ourselves.
とても重要な問いだと思います。私たちの信仰にとって最も基本的な質問になると思います。私たち一人一人も自問してみる必要があると思います。
“And why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things I say?”.
「わたしを主よ、主よ、と呼びながら、なぜわたしの言うことを行わないのか？」。

あなたは主の言われたことを行いますか？
In General Conference, we will hear the word of the Lord. The word of the Lord will be given to us by his chosen prophets, apostles, and other leaders. Will we do the things he says?
総大会で私たちは主の言葉を聞きます。主の言葉は主に選ばれた預言者や使徒、その他の指導者によって与えられます。あなたは主の言われることを行いますか？
We have been told to read The Book of Mormon each day. We have been told to pray every day. We have been told to minister to others.
私たちは毎日モルモン書を読むよう教わっています。毎日祈るよう教わっています。ミニスタリングをするよう教わっています。
In the October 2018 General Conference, it was announced that our Sunday meeting schedule was to be shortened to only two hours. We were told that we should use the extra hour that we will have on Sunday to study the gospel, both as individuals and as families.
2018 年秋の総大会で日曜日のスケジュールが二時間に短縮されると発表がありました。その結果日曜日に余った時間を個人と家族で福音を学ぶよう教えられました。

主の言われたことを行いますか？
In other recent General Conferences, we have been taught about our assignment to minister to those around us. We have been asked to serve those in need. We have been instructed to improve our service and to become more like our Savior.
別の総大会で、私たちには周りにいる人をミニスタリングする務めがあると教わりました。助けの必要な人を助けるよう教わりました。奉仕がより良くできるようになり、より主に近づくよう教わりました。
Will we do the things the Lord says?
主の言われたことを行いますか？
We have been taught from the very beginning to attend our Church meetings on the Sabbath Day. We have been taught to pay a full and honest tithing. We have been taught to serve in our callings in our wards and in our stakes.
私たちは最初から安息日に教会の集会に出席するよう教わっています。完全にまた正直に什分の一を納めるよう教わっています。ワードやステークでの召しを果たすよう教わっています。
Will we do the things the Lord says?
主の言われたことを行いますか？
We have been taught many things. We have the scriptures to study. We have the General Conference talks to study. We have the Holy Ghost to guide us.
私たちは多くの事を教わっています。私たちには聖典があります。総大会のお話からも学べます。私たちを導いてくれる聖霊も与えられています。
Will we do the things the Lord says?
主の言われたことを行いますか？
As we participate in General Conference, let’s resolve to do the things the Lord says. Let’s resolve to answer the Savior’s question with a strong “Yes! I will do what you say”. Let’s resolve to always follow the Savior and to keep his commandments.
主が言われたことを行うと決意して総大会に参加しましょう。主の質問に力強く「はい、言われたことを行います」と答えること、主に従い、主の戒めを守ることを決意しましょう。
