This scripture was given through the Prophet Joseph Smith to Oliver Cowdery. Oliver wanted to help with the translation of The Book of Mormon. In this scripture, the Lord teaches Oliver how to receive revelation and instruction from the Lord.
この聖句は預言者ジョセフ・スミスを通してオリバーカウドリーに与えられたものです。オリバーはモルモン書の翻訳を手助けしたいと思っていました。この聖句で主からの啓示や指示を受ける方法をオリバーに教えられました。
This is an important topic for us as well.
これは私たちにとっても大切な課題です。
We all have many questions. Every day, we are faced with choices. Some choices are easy. Some choices are difficult. Some choices are very important. Some choices are not very important.
私たちは誰もが多くの疑問を持っています。毎日私たちは何かを選択する機会に遭遇します。ある選択はやさしく、あるものは難しいです。またある選択はとても重要で、あるものはそんなに重要ではありません。
In this scripture, the Lord teaches us how we can receive revelation. The Lord explains that we will receive revelation as the Holy Ghost speaks to us, in our mind and in our heart.
この聖句で主はどうしたら啓示を受けれるか私たちに教えておられます。主は聖霊が思いと心に語ることで啓示を受けると説明しておられます。
Next weekend, we will have a wonderful opportunity to receive personal revelation. We will be taught by prophets and apostles. We will be taught the word of the Lord.
来週、私たちは個人の啓示を受けるすばらしい機会があります。私たちは預言者や使徒から教えを授かります。私たちは主の言葉を教えられるのです。
As we listen carefully to the messages of General Conference, the Holy Ghost will be with us and will testify to us of the truthfulness of those messages.
総大会のメッセージに注意深く耳を傾けるなら、聖霊は私たちと共におり、それらのメッセージが確かなことを証してくれるでしょう。
As we listen carefully to the messages of General Conference, thoughts will come into our minds and into our hearts.
総大会のメッセージに注意深く耳を傾けるなら、必要な考えが私たちの思いや心に告げられるのです。
As we listen carefully to the messages of General Conference, we will receive personal revelation.
総大会のメッセージに注意深く耳を傾けるなら、私たちは個人の啓示を受けるのです。
Personal revelation may come to our minds and to our hearts during a talk, or during a prayer, or during a musical number. The personal revelation that we receive may not have anything to do with what a particular talk was about. Personal revelation comes to us as we prepare ourselves to receive it.
個人の啓示はお話やお祈り、音楽などを通して私たちの思いと心にやってきます。私たちが受ける個人の啓示はその時聞いているお話とは全く関係のない事があります。個人の啓示は私たちがそれを受ける準備ができているときにやってきます。
If you are struggling with your testimony, watch General Conference.
もし自分の証に自身が持てなく苦しんでいるなら総大会を見てください。
If you are struggling to make decisions in your life, watch General Conference.
もしあなたの生活の中で決心をつけかねていることがあれば総大会を見てください。

もし望みを失い試練の重さに耐えられそうもなく、孤独や寂しさを感じていれば総大会を見てください。

The Lord has given us prophets and apostles to lead us. Do you believe that? If you believe that there are prophets and apostles on the earth today, and I testify to you that there are, there is nothing that is more important than to listen to their counsel and instruction.
主は私たちを導くために預言者と使徒を与えてくださいました。それを信じますか？もし今日地上に預言者と使徒がいることを信じるなら、彼らの勧告と指導を聞く事以上に重要なことはありません。私はそのことが確かだと証しします。
You can listen to General Conference on the BYU Channel on some cable networks. You can also listen to General Conference on the Internet. On the Internet, you can choose to listen in English, in Japanese, or in many other languages.
総大会はBYU チャンネルや他のケーブルネットワークで視聴することができます。インターネットでも視聴することができます。インターネットでは英語に限らず日本語や他の言語を選択して聞くことができます。
