In one of the shortest and simplest verses in the scriptures, we are taught a great lesson.
私たちは、救い主イエス・キリストを「主」と呼んでいます。私たちは、イエスが救い主であるという証を持っています。 私たちは、イエスを贖い主として受け入れています。
We all call our Savior Jesus Christ “Lord”. We all have a testimony that Jesus is our Savior. We all accept him as the Redeemer.

We have all followed the example of our Lord and have been baptized.
私たちは聖文から主のみ言葉を学びます。私たちは総大会のメッセージから主のみ言葉を聞きます。私たちは心から祈ることで主のみ言葉を感じます。
We study his words in the scriptures. We hear his words in the messages of General Conference. We feel his words as we pray sincerely.
私たちは「主から求められたことを行っているだろうか」と自問する必要があります。
We must each ask ourselves, “Am I doing the things the Lord has asked me to do?”

The Lord has commanded us to attend our Sacrament meetings each week. Do we do this?

The Lord has commanded us to obey the Word of Wisdom. Do we do this?

The Lord has commanded us to pay our tithing. Do we do this?
主は私たちに毎週家庭の夕べを開くよう指示されました。そのようにしていますか？
The Lord has instructed us to hold Family Home Evening each week. Do we do this?
主は私たちに聖文を毎日研究するように言われました。そのようにしていますか？
The Lord has told us to study the scriptures daily. Do we do this?
主は私たちに、貧しい人や困っている人に仕えるよう命じられました。そのようにしていますか？
The Lord has commanded us to serve the poor and the needy. Do we do this?
主は私たちに召しを果たすよう命じられました。そのようにしていますか？
The Lord has commanded us to serve in our callings. Do we do this?
主は私たちに福音を分かち合うよう命じられました。そのようにしていますか？
The Lord has commanded us to share the gospel with others. Do we do this?
主は私たちに「わたしに従ってきなさい」のレッスンを毎週学ぶよう求められました。そのようにしていますか？
The Lord has asked us to study the “Come, Follow Me” lessons each week. Do we do this?
主はこれらすべての戒めとその他にも多くの戒めを与えてくださいました。これらの戒めはすべて私たちの益となるためです。
The Lord has given us all these commandments and many more. All of these commandments are for our benefit.
戒めを守るとき、私たちはイエス・キリストのより良い従者になることを学びます。戒めを守るとき、私たちと奉仕する人々の生活に祝福をもたらします。戒めを守るとき、私たちはこの世で喜びと幸福を見いだします。
As we keep the commandments, we learn to be better followers of Jesus Christ. As we keep the commandments, we bring blessings into lives and into the lives of those we serve. As we keep the commandments, we find joy and happiness in this life.
私たちは、この人生が試しと試練の時であることを知っています。この人生は、苦難、試練、困難な状況に満ちています。それらはすべて計画の一部です。良い選択をすることによって、主を愛していることを示す機会を与えてくれます。それらは私たちの成長を助けてくれます。私たちがイエス・キリストのより良い従者になるのを助けてくれます。
We know that this life is a time of trial and testing. This life is filled with hardships, with challenges, and with difficult situations. Those things are all part of the plan. They give us the opportunity to show that we love the Lord by making good choices. They help us to grow. They help us to become better followers of Jesus Christ.
新しい週が始まります。私たちが行うことについて時間を取って考えてみましょう。自分自身の生活を吟味し、主が私たちに求められたことを行っているか見直してみましょう。私たちは改善し、より良くするために必要な変更を惜まず行いましょう。救い主イエス・キリストのより良い弟子となりましょう。主に従い、戒めを守りましょう。
As we go through this next week, let’s take time to think about the things that we do. Let’s examine our own lives and see if we are doing the things that our Lord has asked us to do. Let’s make the changes that are needed to improve and do better. Let’s become better disciples of our Savior Jesus Christ. Let’s follow our Lord and keep the commandments.
