わたしはあなたがたに、これらのことを行うようにという戒めを与える。あなたがたはいつもこれらのことを行うならば、わたしの岩の上に建てられているので、幸いである。第三ニーファイ１８：１２

And I give unto you a commandment that ye shall do these things.  And if ye shall always do these things blessed are ye, for ye are built upon my rock.  3 Nephi 18:12

In the 18th chapter of 3rd Nephi, the Savior teaches us about the sacrament.  As far as we know, this was the first time the sacrament was administered to the Nephite people.  

第三ニーファイ18章では、救い主が私たちに聖餐について教えておられます。私たちが知る限り、これはニーファイ人に執行された初めての聖餐です。

The Savior commanded the disciples to bring bread and wine.  The Savior then blessed the bread and commanded the disciples to eat of it.  After the disciples had partaken of the sacrament, the Savior commanded them to give it to the people who were gathered there.

救い主は弟子たちにパンと葡萄酒を持ってくるよう命じられました。救い主はパンを祝福され、弟子たちにそれを食べるよう命じられました。弟子たちが聖餐を取った後、救い主はそこの集まっていた人々にも与えるよう命じられました。

Next, the Savior blessed the wine and commanded his disciples to drink.  After they drank, they gave the wine to the people.

次に、救い主は葡萄酒を祝福され弟子たちに飲むよう命じられました。彼らが飲んだ後、人々にも葡萄酒を与えました。

When the sacrament was completed, the Savior told the people that they were blessed for keeping the commandments.  The Savior also taught them that they should administer the sacrament to all those who repent and are baptized. 

聖餐が終わったとき、救い主は彼らが戒めを守っていたので幸いであると人々に言われました。救い主は彼らもまた悔い改めてバプテスマを受けるすべての者に聖餐を執行するよう教えられました。

The people were told that partaking of the sacrament was a witness to the Father that they remembered the Savior and his great Atoning sacrifice.  They were also taught that if they always remembered the Savior, they would have his Spirit to be with them.

人々は聖餐を取ることは救い主と主の大いなる贖いの犠牲を覚えることの天父への証であると言われました。彼らはもし主を常に覚えるならば主の御霊を受けることも教わりました。

These are the same blessings we are promised in the sacrament prayers each time we partake of the sacrament.  

それは私たちが毎回聖餐を取る時に聞く聖餐の祈りで約束されているのと同じ祝福です。

We promise to always remember the Savior as we partake of the sacrament.  We are promised that we will always have his Spirit to be with us, if we do always remember him.

私たちは聖餐を取る時、主を常に覚えることを約束します。私たちがもし主を常に覚えていれば、主の御霊が常に私たちと共にあるという約束を受けています。

The sacrament is one of the most important ordinances in the gospel.  It is the one ordinance that we participate in many times.  

聖餐は福音の中で最も重要な儀式のひとつです。それは私たちが幾度となく参加するひとつの儀式です。

Think about that.  

そのことを考えてみてください。

We only receive the ordinance of baptism, for example, one time.  We only receive the ordinances of the Temple for ourselves one time.  

例えば私たちはバプテスマの儀式を一度だけ受けます。私たちは自分自身の神殿の儀式を一度だけ受けます。

But we are blessed to be able to participate in the ordinance of the sacrament many, many times.  

しかし私たちは聖餐の儀式には何度も、何度も参加することが出来るという祝福があります。

In this verse, the Savior gives us a commandment that we must repent and partake of the sacrament as often as we can.  If we keep his commandments, we are promised great blessings. We will be those who are built upon the rock of the gospel.

この聖句では、救い主は私たちにできる限り頻繁に悔い改めて聖餐を取るよう戒めを与えておられます。もし私たちが戒めを守るなら、大いなる祝福が約束されています。私たちは福音の岩の上に建てられた者となるのです。

As we go through this week, let’s think about the great blessings that come by partaking of the sacrament.  Let’s remember the things that we promise the Lord that we will do when we partake of the sacrament. Let’s remember the great blessings that the Lord promises to us, if we partake of the sacrament worthily.  

新しい週が始まります。聖餐を取ることから受ける大いなる祝福を覚えて過ごしましょう。聖餐を取る時に、私たちが行うと主に約束する事柄を覚えていましょう。私たちがふさわしく聖餐を取るとき、主が私たちに約束された大いなる祝福を忘れないようにしましょう。
