This revelation was given by the Prophet Joseph Smith to Martin Harris. In the revelation, Martin Harris was commanded to repent and to obey the commandments he had received.

There are no conditions. There are no exceptions. There are no shortcuts.
条件や例外などありませんし、近道もありません。
We are commanded to pray always.
私たちは常に祈るよう戒められています。
We know that it is a great blessing to pray.
私たちは祈りが素晴らしい祝福であることを知っています。
Through prayer, we are able to talk with Heavenly Father. Through prayer, we are able to tell Heavenly Father about our problems and our trials. Through prayer, we are able to receive blessings and instruction from Heavenly Father.
祈りを通して私たちは天父と話ができます。祈りを通して私たちの問題や試しについて天父に（助けや導きを）伺うことができます。祈りを通して私たちは祝福や導きを受けることができます。
Satan does not want us to pray. He tries to trick us by telling us we do not need to pray. He tells us that we are not worthy to pray. He tells us that it is useless to pray.
サタンは私たちに祈って欲しくありません。彼はお祈りなんかしなくてよいと言って私たちを騙そうとします。彼はお祈りするにはふさわしくないと言います。また彼はお祈りなど無意味だと言います。
Satan is wrong.
サタンは間違っています。
The promise in this scripture is that the Lord will “pour out his Spirit” on us if we pray.
この聖句の約束はもし祈るなら主は私たちに「御霊を注がれる」というものです。
That means we will always be guided by the Holy Ghost. That means that we will always receive the guidance that we need. That means that we will always be blessed.
つまり私たちは聖霊によって常に導かれ、私たちに必要な導きを常に受けるということです。また私たちは常に祝福されると言うことです。
We are told that having the Spirit of the Lord poured out upon us is a greater blessing than having all the riches and treasures of the world.
私たちは主の御霊を注がれることはこの世のすべての富や宝を持つことより大きな祝福であると言われました。
Having all the “treasures of the earth” is simply a temporary thing. Having the Spirit of the Lord is an eternal blessing.
すべての「地の宝」を持つことは単に一時的なものです。主の御霊を持つことは永遠の祝福です。
If we have the Spirit of the Lord with us, we will walk in his paths. We will keep his commandments. We will serve others. We will do all the things that he has commanded us to do.
もし主の御霊を持ち合わせているなら、私たちは主の道を歩むことでしょう。主の戒めを守り他の誰かのために尽くすことでしょう。また主が行うよう命じられた全てのことをすることでしょう。
If we do these things, we are promised eternal life with our Heavenly Father. There is no greater blessing than that.
私たちがもしこれらのことを行うなら天父と共に住み永遠の命を約束されています。それ以上の祝福はないのです。
I know that it is important that we pray always. I know that we can talk with Heavenly Father. I know that he hears and answers our prayers. I know that those answers will always come. The answers may not come immediately, but they will come when the time is right. I know that we can have the Spirit of the Lord poured out upon us if we keep this commandment.
私は常に祈ることが大切であり、また天父とお話ができることを知っています。私は天父が私たちの祈りをお聞きになり、祈りに答えてくださることを知っています。私はそれらの答えはいつも与えられることを知っています。その答えはすぐには来ないかもしれませんが、答えられるべきその時がくればやってきます。私はこの戒めを守るならば主の御霊が私たちの上に注がれることを知っています。
