I am very grateful for the opportunity to pay my tithing. The opportunity to pay tithing is one of the biggest blessings of the Gospel. I think that, if non-members of the Church understood the blessings that come from paying tithing, they would want to pay tithing even if they did not believe in the Church.

Satan knows about the great blessings of tithing. He works very hard to make us not pay our tithing. He does not want us to enjoy those wonderful blessings. He tells us lies.

He tells us that we cannot afford to pay tithing. He tells us that there is not enough money to pay tithing. He tells us that we need to use the money to pay our bills. All these are lies he uses to trick us.

I like to get blessings. I really like to get big, big blessings. The Lord has promised us that if we will pay our tithing honestly, he will send us blessings “that there shall not be room enough to receive it”. That is the kind of blessings I like.

The first thing to understand is that you do not pay tithing with money. You pay tithing with faith.

If we pay our honest tithing, the Lord will keep his promise. He will send us great blessings.

That does not mean that all our money problems will be solved. It does not mean that we will not have any trials or difficulties. It does not mean that our life will be care-free and easy.

It does mean that we will receive the blessings that the Lord knows we need to have. It means that miracles will happen for us and for our families. It means that we will be much happier.

I testify to you that these things are true.

I know that if you will pay your tithing honestly, and trust in the Lord, you will also be blessed. You will receive those promised blessings. You will gain a strong testimony of the principle of tithing.

Don’t listen to Satan’s lies. He is trying to trick you out of your blessings. Go forward with faith in Jesus Christ. Be obedient to this wonderful law of tithing. You will receive all of the blessings that you need.

As we begin this new year, start today to live the law of tithing completely. I know that it is hard to start. I know that Satan will try to stop you. I know that there will be trials.
