Emma Smith, the wife of the Prophet Joseph Smith is mentioned by name.

Only one. Sister Vienna Jaques.
Her name is mentioned in Section 90.
It is strange that very few people today know who Sister Jaques was.
Sister Jaques was born in Boston in 1787 to a wealthy family.
She did not marry but was very active in helping the poor and the sick in Boston.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, but was always seeking more truth.
When she heard about Joseph Smith, she got a copy of the Book of Mormon.
She read the book but was not convinced of its truth.
One evening, as she was praying, she felt prompted to ask the Lord about the Book of Mormon.
She immediately received a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon.
She wanted to meet the Prophet Joseph Smith, so in 1831, she traveled by herself all the way to Kirtland.
She met the Prophet and was baptized in Kirtland.
She returned to Boston later that year.
She became a wonderful member missionary in Boston.
When Orson Hyde and Samuel Smith came to Boston as missionaries, she provided housing for them. She also introduced many of her friends to the missionaries.
In 1832, Sister Jaques left Boston and moved to Kirtland.
In 1833, the Prophet Joseph Smith received a revelation listing the members of the Church who were to go to Jackson County, Missouri.
Sister Jaques was one of the members in that list.
Before she left Kirtland, Sister Jaques gave the Church a large sum of money.
It was a great blessing to the Church.
Church leaders needed to purchase land in Kirtland, but did not have enough money.
The Church used the money donated by Sister Jaques to buy the land for the Kirtland Temple.
In Jackson County, Sister Jaques suffered much persecution with the other Saints.
It was a very difficult time for those members.
Along with most of the other members in Jackson County, Sister Jaques moved to Nauvoo.
She was there when the Prophet received the revelations about baptism for the dead.
Sister Jaques immediately became involved in this sacred work.
While she lived in Nauvoo, she was baptized for more than 50 people.
Most of those were her own ancestors.
When the Nauvoo Temple was ready, Sister Jaques received her Temple endowment.
She remained active in temple work for the rest of her life.
When the Saints were driven out of Nauvoo, Sister Jaques made the long and difficult journey to the Salt Lake Valley with the rest of the Saints.
Sister Jaques remained active in the Church in Salt Lake City until her death at age 91.
She was a great example of a faithful sister.
