And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit had made willing, and they brought the Lord’s offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments. Exodus 35:21
In the last few chapters of the book of Exodus, we learn about the tabernacle of the congregation that Moses was commanded to build. The tabernacle of the congregation was a portable temple that the children of Israel took with them during their 40 years of wandering in the desert.

It was not a temple as we know temples today. The people had rejected the counsel of the Lord given to them by Moses. As a result of their disobedience, the Lord had taken the Melchizedek priesthood from them. The tabernacle was only used for the ordinances of the Aaronic priesthood.
それは今日私たちが知っているような神殿ではありませんでした。人々はモーセから与えられた主の勧告を拒みました。彼らの不従順の結果として、主はメルキゼデク神権を奪われました。幕屋は、アロン神権の儀式にのみ使用されました。
The tabernacle was a physical symbol to the children of Israel, reminding them of the blessings and covenants of the Lord.
幕屋はイスラエルの民にとって物理的な象徴であり、主の祝福と聖約を思い起こさせました。
In this scripture, we learn that everyone who felt the promptings of the spirit came to the tabernacle with offerings to help build it. They gave of their material possession to help build the tabernacle. This was an outward sign of their love for the Lord.
この聖句では、霊の促しを感じたすべての人が、それを築くのを助けるため、供物を持って幕屋にやって来たと教えています。幕屋を建てるのを助けるために彼らの所有物を捧げました。これは彼らの主への外面的な愛のしるしでした。
In our day, we are blessed to have temples, where all the ordinances of the Melchizedek priesthood are performed. We are not limited to just those ordinances of the lesser priesthood. We have access to the greatest blessings that the Lord has to give to his children here on earth.
現代はメルキゼデク神権のすべての儀式が行われる神殿があるので私たちは恵まれています。小神権の儀式だけに限定はされていません。主がこの地上にいる神の子供たちに用意されている最大の祝福を享受することができます。
Do we recognize that blessing?
あなたはその祝福を理解していますか？
Are our hearts stirred up, like the children of Israel? Are our spirits willing, like the children of Israel? Do we bring offerings to the Lord, like the children of Israel?
イスラエルの民のように、私たちは心に感じていますか？イスラエルの民のように、私たちの霊は喜んでいますか？イスラエルの民のように、わたしたちは主にささげ物を捧げていますか？
What does this mean for us, today? How can we bring offerings to the Lord?

We can bring an offering to the Lord by attending the temple as often as our time and our circumstances allow. We can bring an offering to the Lord always be worthy to have a temple recommend, even if we are not able to attend the temple frequently. We can bring an offering to the Lord by teaching our families and our friends about the great and eternal blessings that are available in the ordinances of the temple.
時間と状況が許す限り頻繁に神殿に参入することによって、主にささげ物を捧げることができます。神殿に頻繁に参入することができなくても、神殿推薦状をもらうのにふさわしい供え物を主に捧げることができます。神殿の儀式で享受できる最も麗しく永遠の祝福について家族や友人に教えることによって、主にささげ物を捧げることができます。
We can bring an offering to the Lord by searching for our ancestors who are waiting to receive the blessings of the temple. We can bring an offering to the Lord by collecting family stories and histories of family members, both living and dead. We can bring an offering to the Lord by participating in the work of gathering of Israel on both sides of the veil.
神殿の祝福を受けるのを待っている先祖を探すことによって、主にささげ物を捧げることができます。生死を問わず、家族の思い出や家族の歴史を集めることによって、主にささげ物を捧げることができます。幕の両側でイスラエルの集合の業に参加することによって、私たちは主にささげ物を捧げることができます。
As we go through this next week, let’s think about the children of Israel, about their joy at having a sacred temple in their midst. Let’s think about what we can do to bring an offering to the Lord. Let’s do all that we can to first, receive the blessings of the temple for ourselves, then to receive those same blessings on behalf of our ancestors. Let’s remember that those ancestors are waiting and hoping that we will bring an offering to the Lord by blessing them with the ordinances of salvation.
