Verily I say unto you, in as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  Matthew 25:40

In the 25th chapter of Matthew, the Savior teaches the people with many parables.  Included in this chapter is the parable of the Ten Virgins, the parable of the 10 Talents, and the parable of the Sheep and the Goats.

マタイによる福音書25章では救い主は多くのたとえを使って人々に教えておられます。この章には十人の乙女のたとえやタラントのたとえ、羊とヤギのたとえが含まれています。

Starting in verse 35, the Savior teaches the people about ministering to others.  He teaches them to feed the poor and the hungry, to clothe the naked, to visit those in prison or who are sick.

35節からは、救い主はミニスタリングすることについて人々に教えておられます。主は貧しい者や空腹である者に与え、裸でいる者に着せ、獄にいる者や病気の者を見舞うよう教えておられます。

The Savior tells the people that if they do those things to those in need, it is as if they were ministering unto the Savior himself.

助けの必要な者にそうするならばそれは救い主ご自身にミニスタリングをすることと同じことだと救い主は教えておられます。

We are all familiar with this scripture.  We all understand that, as we minister, we don’t choose to minister only to those who have helped us or who can help us.  We minister to anyone who has a need. We minister even “unto the least of these”.

私たちは誰でもこの聖句に精通しており、理解しています。私たちはミニスタリングする時私たちを助けてくれた人やまたは私たちを助けることができる人だけを選んでミニスタリングしたりしないことを理解しています。私たちは誰でも助けの必要な人にミニスタリングします。私たちは「最も小さい者」にもミニスタリングします。

Our testimony is, that by ministering unto anyone who needs help, no matter what their social status, no matter if they are rich or poor, no matter if they are someone we know or not, we will be ministering unto the Lord.

私たちの証は、助けを必要とする人にミニスタリングすることで、社会的地位が何であれ、貧富の差があろうと、私たちの知らない人であろうと、主にミニスタリングする事になるのです。

This is a great parable and teaches us many things about ministering.  

これは素晴らしいたとえであり、ミニスタリングについて多くの事を私たちに教えてくれます。

When we are rude to someone, are we not being rude unto the Lord?

When we ignore someone at Church, just because we may not feel comfortable with them, are we not ignoring the Lord?

When we leave someone out of an activity, just because they are different, are we not leaving out the Lord?

When we fail to say “Hello” to someone and just rush on by, are we not rushing on by the Lord?

誰かに「こんにちは」と言わず、忙しく通り過ぎていく時、それは主を忙しく通り過ぎていくことになりませんか？

When we make quick negative judgements about someone, are we not making negative judgements about the Lord?

誰かをすぐに批判的に決めつける時、それは主を批判的に決めつけてることになりませんか？

When we gossip about someone, are we not gossiping about the Lord?

誰かについて噂話をする時、それは主について噂話していることになりませんか？

When we see someone alone at Church and don’t go over and sit with them, are we not leaving the Lord alone?

教会で独りでいる人を見つけ、行って一緒に座らない時、それは主を独りぼっちにすることになりませんか？

Ministering is a powerful tool to help others.  It is an even more powerful tool to help us learn to be more like our Savior.  It has the power to change lives.

ミニスタリングは誰かを助ける力強い手段です。それは私たち自身がより救い主のようになることを学ぶのに役立つ優れた手段なのです。それは人生を変える力があります。

As we go through this next week, let’s remember our duty to minister to all.  Let’s remember that the things that we do, both good and bad, are things that we do not just to the individual involved, but also to the Lord.  Let’s treat everyone we meet the same way we would treat the Lord. 

すべての人にミニスタリングするという私たちの義務を覚えて来週を過ごしましょう。良いことも悪いことも私たちが行うすべてのことは私たちが関係している個人だけのものではなく、そこには主も関わっていることを覚えていましょう。私たちが出会うすべての人を主と同じように扱いましょう。
