In this life of troubles and trials, all of us need blessings from Heavenly Father. The good news is that he wants very much to send us those blessings. He has made it very easy for us to get the blessings we need. All we have to do is obey his commandments.
He has promised us that, if we will keep his commandments, he will bless us. Heavenly Father always keeps his promises. When we make even a small effort to repent and do better, he immediately sends blessings to us.
As we start this new year, may we all strive to do better in keeping the commandments. Start right now. Start today. Think of just one thing that you can do to improve. Make a promise to yourself that you will do a little better each day this year to be more obedient, to be more thankful, and to keep the commandments.
As we do this, I know that we will be blessed. May the Lord’s blessings be upon all of us as we struggle through the trials of this life. I know that Heavenly Father will be with us and will bless us as we try to do better.
