In this revelation given to the Prophet Joseph Smith, the Lord reminds us of the great blessings that the righteous will receive.

In spite of our great learning, the Lord tells us that we are still like little children. He tells us we can only understand easy things. He tells us that great things are going to come.
私たちのすばらしい福音の学習にもかかわらず、主は私たちがまだ子供であり、また私たちは簡単なことしか理解しないと言われます。（しかし）主はすばらしい事柄がこれからやってくると言われます。
In our pride, we sometimes feel that we are very smart. We feel that we understand everything. We feel that we know what is right for us better than the Lord does.
私たちは高慢の故に時折自分は賢いと感じたり、何でも理解していると感じてしまいます。私たちは自分の考えが正しく主の方法より良いと感じたりします。
Like a kind and loving parent, the Lord gently reminds us that we do not really understand anything about the great blessings of eternity. But, he will lead us and guide us and help us.
親切で愛に満ちた両親のように主は私たちが永遠の偉大な祝福について何も理解していないことを優しく教えておられます。しかし主は私たちを導き、指導し、助けてくださいます。
Of all people, we should be happy. Of all people, we should be cheerful. Of all people, we should feel very blessed.
私たちは他の誰よりも幸せでなければなりません。他の誰よりも明るく元気でなければなりません。他の誰よりもとても祝福されていると感じなければなりません。
Yes, in this life, we all have difficult trials and hard problems. We have tests that help us to grow. We have pain and suffering. But, we need to look beyond the trials of this life to the great blessings that the Lord has promised to us.
私たちは皆、間違いなくこの世で試練や難しい問題をかかえています。私たちには成長を助けてくれるテストがあったり痛みや苦しみがあります。しかし私たちはこの世の試練の先にある主が約束してくださった偉大な祝福を見なければなりません。
What are some of these great blessings?
その偉大な祝福とはなんでしょう？
The Lord tells us in this scripture that “the kingdom is yours”. He tells us that “the blessings thereof are yours”. He tells us that “the riches of eternity are yours”.
主は「王国はあなた方のものである」と聖典で言われています。「その祝福もあなた方のものである」とも言われています。
What more could anyone hope for? What greater blessings could we receive than these things?
誰がこれ以上に望むことが出来ましょうか？これより偉大な祝福を受けることなど出来るでしょうか？
The Lord expects us to be cheerful and patient in this life. He knows the trials that we need to go through. He knows our weaknesses. He also knows the great eternal blessings that we will receive if we are faithful and obedient.
主は私たちにこの世で明るく元気で忍耐強くあるように期待しておられます。主は私たちが試練を通る必要があること、また私たちの弱さをもご存知です。主は私たちがもし信仰深く忠実である時受けるであろう偉大な永遠の祝福をご存知です。
I know that we have great reason to rejoice, even during our trials. I know that the great blessings that the Lord has promised to the faithful will be ours. I know that we will receive the “riches of eternity” if we obey the commandments.
私はたとえ試練の中にあっても喜ぶべき立派な理由があることを知っています。私は主が信仰深い者に約束された偉大な祝福が私たちに与えられると知っています。私はもし戒めに従うならば「永遠の富」を受けることを知っています。
May we go forward with faith this week. May we remember the great blessings that will come to us. May we look beyond the day to day challenges to the “riches of eternity”. May that knowledge help us to be cheerful and patient in our daily lives.
今週も信仰を持って前進しましょう。やがてやってくる偉大な祝福を覚えていましょう。日々の困難の先にある「永遠の富」を見ていましょう。その知識が日々の生活で元気と忍耐強さをもたらしてくれますように。
