この御使いは女たちにむかっていった『恐れることはない。あなたがたが十字架におかかりになったイエスを捜していることは、わたしにわかっているが、もうここにはおられない。かねて言われたとおりに、よみがえられたのである。さあ、イエスが納められていた場所をごらんなさい。そして、急いで行って弟子たちにこう伝えなさい、「イエスは死人の中からよみがえられた。見よ、あなたがたより先にガリラヤへ行かれる。そこでお会いできるであろう」。あなたがたに、これだけ言っておく』。マタイ２８：５－７

And the angels answered and said unto the women, Fear ye not: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.  Come, and see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and behold, he goeth before you into Gallilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.  Matthew 28:5-7

Throughout all the eternities, there is no event that is as important to our eternal salvation as the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ.  It is only through his great sacrifice that we are able to have hope.

永遠にわたり救い主イエスキリストの贖いほど私たちの永遠の救いにとって大切な出来事はありません。救い主の偉大な犠牲によってのみ私たちは希望を持つことができるのです。

It is interesting that the world places so much emphasis on celebrating the birth of the Savior and so little emphasis on remembering the Atonement and the resurrection.  The early Church in the days of the ancient Apostles did not celebrate the birth of the Savior at all.  

世の中では救い主の生誕を祝うことを重要視しているのに贖いと復活を思い起こすことをあまり重要視していないのはおかしなことです。古代の使途たちがいた初期の教会ではキリストの生誕についてまったく祝うことはありませんでした。

It is only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we are able to repent.  All of us have sinned.  Without the blessings of the Atonement, we would all be in the power of Satan forever.  If we had no way to repent of our sins, we would never be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father.

私たちはキリストの贖いを通してのみ悔い改めることができるのです。私たちは皆、罪を犯したことがあります。贖いの祝福がなければ私たちは永遠にサタンのとりこになるでしょう。罪を悔い改める道がなければ天父の元に戻りともに住むことはできません。

It is the great Atonement of our Savior that provides the one true path to happiness.  If we keep his commandments and repent of our sins, we know that we can return and live with our Heavenly family again.

救い主の偉大な贖いは幸福への真の道を提供してくれます。戒めを守り罪を悔い改めるなら再び天父の元に戻りともに住むことができることを知っています。

Through the power of the resurrection, all of us will one day receive our physical bodies back.  Every person who has ever lived on this earth will receive this great blessing.   

復活の力によって私たちは一人残らずいつの日か肉体を再び取り戻すことができるのです。この地上に住んでいた誰もがこの偉大な祝福を受けるのです。

It is through the power of the Atonement and the resurrection that Temple work for our own ancestors becomes possible.  

贖いと復活の力により、先祖のための神殿での業が可能になるのです。

We know that will someday be able to be with our family members who have left this mortal life.  Just as it does for us, the Atonement provides them with the opportunity to repent of their sins.  But unlike us, they cannot progress without our help.

私たちは死すべきこの世をすでに去った家族といつか一緒になることができると知っています。私たちも受けるように、贖いにより先祖が罪を悔い改める機会を提供するのです。しかし私たちと違い彼らは私たちの助けなしには進歩成長できないのです。

Doing the Temple work for these people is how we become “saviors on Mount Zion”.  We have the duty and the responsibility to first repent of our own sins and then to help those who are waiting for our help to receive those great blessings.

彼らのため神殿での儀式を行うことは”シオンの山の救い手”となるということです。私たちにはまず自身の罪を悔い改め、この偉大な祝福を受けるため私たちの助けを待っている彼らを助けるという義務と責任があります。

I know that it is only through the sacrifice of our Savior and his great Atonement that we are able to have peace in this life and eternal life with our families in the world to come.  I know that we can repent of our sins.  I know that we will all be resurrected.  I know that, through the power of the Atonement, we can help save our own ancestors.

私たちは救い主の犠牲と偉大な贖いを通してのみこの世と永遠にわたり家族とともに平安にすごせると知っています。私たちは罪を悔い改めることができると知っています。私たちは皆復活すると知っています。贖罪の力により私たちの先祖を救う手助けができると知っています。

May we always remember what the Lord has done for us.  May we remember the great sacrifice that was made for us.  May we repent and keep the commandments of the Lord.  I know that if we do these things, we will receive all the promised blessings.

主が私たちにしてくださったことを忘れないようにしましょう。私たちのために行われた偉大な犠牲を思い起こしましょう。悔い改め、主の戒めを守りましょう。これらのことをすれば私たちは約束された全ての祝福を受けることを知っています。
