Fear not to do good, my sons, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap; therefore, if ye sow good ye shall also reap good for your reward. Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for you are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail. Doctrine & Covenants 6:33-34
This revelation was given to the Prophet Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery. It contains an important message for us also.

In this scripture, we are commanded to do good things.
この聖句で私たちは善を行うよう戒められています。
Sometimes, it is hard to do good things. Sometimes, we are afraid of what other people will say or think. Sometimes, there is great opposition by those around us.
善を行うのが難しい時もあります。他の人が何を言うとか何と思うとか心配になるときもあります。周りには（善行に）抵抗、敵対するものが沢山あるかもしれません。
But in this scripture, we are commanded to always do good things, without any fear.
しかしこの聖句ではどんな恐怖、不安があっても私たちは善を行うようにと戒められています。
We are given two important promises in this scripture.
この聖句で二つの大切な約束が私たちに与えられています。
First, we are promised that if we do good things, we will receive good things for our reward. The scripture says “for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap”. Our eternal reward will be based upon our actions and our efforts here in this life to do good things.
まず最初に、私たちはもし善を行えばその報いとしてよいものを受けると約束されています。聖句では「善をまけば、報いとしてまた善を刈り入れる」と言っています。私たちの永遠の報いはこの世での自分の行いと善を行おうとするその努力によるのです。
Even when no one likes what we do, we will still receive our reward if we do good things. Even when other people criticize us, we will still receive our reward. Even when we are ridiculed by the world, we will still receive our reward.
たとえ、だれも私たちの行いを気に入らなくとも、善を行えば私たちはその報いを受けるのです。たとえ誰かが私たちを非難しようと私たちはそれでも報いを受けるのです。たとえ世の中から笑われ馬鹿にされようと、私たちはそれでも報いを受けるのです。
Second, we are promised that no one who fights against the work of the Lord will win. As long as we are built upon his rock, we know that we cannot fail.
二つ目に主の業に立ち向かうものは誰であろうと勝利を得ることはないと約束されています。私たちは岩の上にしっかり建てられていれば失敗に終わることがないと知っています。
The Lord promises us that even if the whole world is against us, we have no reason to fear. This is the Lord’s work. He is in control. He has all power and authority. His work cannot and will not fail.
主はたとえ世界のすべてが私たちに立ち向かおうと私たちには恐れる理由がないと約束されています。これは主の業で、主が管理、支配しておられるのです。主はすべての力と権威をお持ちなので、主の業は決して倒れることがないのです。
Let’s go forward this week with a renewed commitment to do good things. Let’s serve in our callings. Let’s be kinder to those around us. Let’s be more helpful. Let’s be better examples of our Savior.
今週も善を行うとあらたに決心し前進しましょう。召された責任を果たしましょう。周りの人々により親切にしましょう。人々の役に立ちましょう。私たちの救い主のよりよい模範となりましょう。
If we do these things, we will receive the promised blessings. We will have joy in this life. We will have no need to fear.
これらのことを行えば約束された祝福を受けるでしょう。私たちはこの世で喜びを得るでしょう。私たちは恐れる必要などないのです。
