And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.  2 Nephi 25:26

Traditional Christianity would have us believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ began with the earthly ministry of the Savior.

Unlike traditional Christianity, we know that the mission of the Savior was revealed to prophets of the Lord from the days of Adam.  All of the ancient prophets testified of the coming of the Savior.

Nephi and others teach us that even the Law of Moses which was given to the ancient Israelites during their wanderings in the desert was intended to point the minds of the Israelites to the Savior.

アルマは息子のコリアントンへの勧告の中で、救い主の来臨がなぜ何世紀も前に知られなければならないのかというコリアントンの質問に答えています。アルマは、人の価値は古代も現代と同じように大いなるものだ説明しています。

Alma, in his counsel to his son, Corianton, answers Corianton’s question as to why the coming of the Savior should be known so many centuries before it happened.  Alma explains that the worth of a soul was just a great anciently as it is today.

救い主のこの世での教導の業から二世紀以上が経った今日、世界にはまだ救い主やその福音を知らない人がたくさんいます。私たちの子供たちでさえ、救い主の必要性とイエス・キリストの偉大な贖いの犠牲について教えられなければなりません。

Today, more than two centuries after the mortal ministry of the Savior, there are still many in this world who do not know the Savior or his gospel.  Even our own children must be taught about the need for a Savior and about the great Atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

私たちには書き残すような自身の預言はないかもしれませんが、それでも他の人、特に自分の家族にイエス・キリストとその福音について熱心に教えることはできます。

We may not have our own prophecies to write about, but we can still be diligent in teaching others, especially those of our own family, about Jesus Christ and his gospel.

The “Come, Follow Me” study program is an excellent resource to help us in this vital assignment.  In our own homes, we can talk of Christ, rejoice in Christ, and preach of Christ, and even write about Christ.  

福音のメッセージとイエス・キリストの中心的な役割を他の人々に理解してもらうことほど大切なことはありません。誰もが幸福を求めています。私たちは、真の幸福は戒めを守った結果としてもたらされることを知っています。

There is nothing more important than helping others understand the gospel message and the central role of Jesus Christ.  Everyone is looking for happiness.  We know that the only true happiness comes as a result of keeping the commandments.  

私たちがキリストについて話し、キリストを喜び、キリストについて説教し、キリストについて書くとき、なぜそのようなことをするのかを思い起こす必要があります。それは私たちが、子供たち（そして福音を分かち合う他のすべての人）にイエス・キリストの贖罪について知ってもらうためです。

As we talk of Christ and rejoice in Christ and preach of Christ and write about Christ, we need to remember why we do those things.   We do those things so that our children (and everyone else we can share the gospel with) will know about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

They will know that they have a Savior.  They will know that they can repent.  They will know about the blessings and the peace that come to us if we keep the commandments.

新しい週が始まります。キリストについて話し、キリストを喜び、キリストについて説教し、キリストについて書く機会を熱心に探しましょう。周りの人たち、特に自分の家族に福音の良い知らせを伝える機会を探しましょう。救い主がおられること、悔い改めることができること、罪が赦されることを他の人々に知ってもらいましょう。ニーファイのこの勧告に熱心に従いましょう。

As we go through this next week, let’s be diligent in looking for opportunities to talk of Christ and rejoice in Christ and preach of Christ and write about Christ.  Let’s look for opportunities to share the good news of the gospel with those around us, especially those of our own families.  Let’s help others to know that they do have a Savior, that they can repent, that they can be forgiven of their sins.  Let’s be diligent in following this counsel from Nephi.
